Why parents should stop their kids from watching Netflix Jeff Dahmer Series?
Jeffrey Dahmer was a serial killer, sex offender who committed the murder and dismemberment of seventeen people. He was into necrophilia, cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts.
Such an amazing biography right? Why are we making such a person a worldwide hit? Why are we making movies and TV series on him not just one but multiple? Added to that, comics, making him the cover picture of magazines! Why is there no stoppage or regulations on media to not make these monsters look attractive?
We live in an extremely sick world where perpetrators like Dahmer become heroes and people form sympathy for them all thanks to great movie direction. Movie makers portray them as macho and attractive like they were doing something amazing. In the greed, for making money are we leading our youth towards idolizing such people? Are they our role models now?
Media is very powerful, it can easily twist things and show wrong as right and vice versa. In the whole Netflix Series of Jeff Dahmer all I see is that how sick this person is and then in jail how the father is telling him that baptism will wash all his sins. They even made him look innocent when he was attacked and killed by an inmate in prison.
If I am getting this right, are we trying to make our youth learn that you can commit extremely violent crimes and then get away from them that easy? People like Dahmer should not be personified at the least. My humble question is, aren’t there enough stories to show and make money from? Is the creativity of writing that limited in the Movie and Drama industry that all we have left to write about are sick psychopath killers?
To the parents, please monitor the content your children are watching. Movies or series on these criminals should be banned or boycotted at the least. The movie industry keeps making movies on them because we as audience keep watching them.
We need to stop promoting evil, evil trends in the market today and only we are to blame.
